Premature ejaculation is uncontrolled ejaculation, before or shortly after sexual penetration. PE may result in an unsatisfactory sexual experience for man or both partners. This can increase anxiety, which in turn can contribute to the problem. Premature ejaculation is one of the most common forms of male sexual dysfunction, and has probably affected every man at some point in his life.

PE is defined as:

• The inability of a man to control his ejaculation.
• Ejaculating before he is ready to or has satisfied his partner.
• Ejaculating before, on or shortly after penetration.
• Ejaculating before the person wishes it
